Rivendell students write frequently. Communicating an idea or a story clearly through writing is a top academic priority, and our teachers work to provide continuity for our students from grade to grade by teaching with consistent vocabulary and a consistent structural approach. Creative stories that expand the imagination and captivate the spirit are a fundamental part of Rivendell’s approach to writing well. We believe that imagination and structure dovetail perfectly in a well-told story. We celebrate writing in a variety of venues.
